Richard Neutra's Bailey Case Study House #20 is the timeless centerpiece of the Sam Simon Estate. The Estate is comprised of the Bailey House and a LEED Certified Gold contemporary "main house," thoughtfully sited on spectacular, park-like grounds. Only 24 houses were actually constructed as part of the Case Study House program; 21 remain standing, only one designed by Neutra was built. Simon engaged master architects Marmol Radziner to preserve and renovate the Bailey to achieve a Santa Monica Conservancy Renovation Award. The Simon House, expertly crafted with the utmost of precision, represents the forefront of sustainable living today with its energy conservation technology and use of recycled, toxin free materials. The high volume living room is the focus of a design that also features a spectacular theater/bar/game room that connects to a stone deck with a cascading infinity-edge pool, beautiful views of the Bailey House and the magnificent, private grounds.
