Actor and podcaster Will Arnett is listing his Beverly Hills, Calif., house—with a professional sound booth—for $22.5 million.

Arnett paid $16.4 million for the 0.42-acre property in 2021, property records show. Located about a mile from the Beverly Hills Hotel, the contemporary house spans approximately 10,300 square feet with six bedrooms, said listing agent Richard Ehrlich of Carolwood Estates.

The actor, known for roles on “Arrested Development” and “30 Rock,” didn’t respond to a request for comment. Arnett planned to list the house before the recent Los Angeles wildfires, according to Ehrlich, who said he is selling because he has been spending more time in New York; he plans to be more bicoastal and wants a smaller footprint in California.

A spec house completed around 2021, Arnett’s home has a gated motor court, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, free-standing sauna and cold plunge, Ehrlich said. The home’s lower level, accessed by a sculptural staircase, has a tiered theater with a door to the outside, as well as a gym and game room.

After buying the home, Arnett spent millions of dollars customizing it, replacing hardware, plumbing fixtures and lighting and adding built-ins. He also added the sound booth for his voice-over and podcast work, Ehrlich said. Arnett is the voice of Batman in 2014’s “The Lego Movie” and 2017’s “The Lego Batman Movie.” With fellow actors Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, he is a co-host of the “SmartLess” podcast, which inked a lucrative distribution deal with SiriusXM last year.

Arnett also redid the backyard, replacing grass with native plants, olive trees and stone paths, Ehrlich said. There is also a vegetable garden and a sitting area for meditation, as well as an outdoor dining area and outdoor shower.

Ehrlich said demand for homes in the area has surged in the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires. “There is such a desperate need for housing right now at all levels,” he said. “A lot of people now want to be east of the 405 and feel comfortable in Beverly Hills versus being high up in the hills.”

The luxury real-estate market in Beverly Hills was strong even before the fires. The number of single-family home sales in Beverly Hills during 2024’s fourth quarter rose 70.4% from 2023’s fourth quarter, while the median sale price rose 21.1%, according to real-estate appraisal firm Miller Samuel.
