A Los Angeles home near the Playboy Mansion has sold for $34 million, according to listing agent Zac Mostame of Carolwood Estates.
The six-bedroom, roughly 15,000-square-foot home in Holmby Hills first listed for $49.5 million in 2019, and most recently asked $39.995 million in August, according to Zillow.
The seller is real-estate investor Saeed Farkhondehpour, who bought the property in a trust for about $4.5 million in 2002, according to property records. Around 2013, he tore down an existing home on the site and built a new one, completing it around 2019.
The Neoclassical-style home is located about 100 yards from the Playboy Mansion, which sold for $100 million in 2016. It has a theater, a gym, twin curving staircases and a glass atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows. The roughly 1.5-acre property also contains a four-bedroom guesthouse, plus a pool and tennis court.
A Holmby Hills home sold in January for $29.5 million, according to Zillow. In February, actor Mark Wahlberg sold his house in nearby Beverly Hills for $55 million, while Hollywood power couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez bought a house in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for about $61 million this spring.
