Headlines abound with the closing of four noteworthy estates by Carolwood founder Drew Fenton and a venerable list of our top agents. The off-market sale on Nimes Road of $110,000,000 was markedly the Highest Sales in Los Angeles since 2022, Fenton represented the buyer, while Stephen Resnick and Jonathan Nash, of Resnick and Nash, and Bond Street’s David Parnes and James Harris represented the seller. The Bel Air property boasts an enviable address and seamless city-to-ocean vistas.

Nimes Road gently moved Fenton's other significant $86,000,000 sale of 391 S Carolwood Drive off the top spot, but the Iconic former home of both Bradley Bell and Rod Stewart firmly holds the accolade of Highest Sale in Holmby Hills year to date. The 1925 Spanish Colonial Revival was designed by Montecito Architect George Washington Smith, its features are revered and the carved stone waterfall graces the cover of ‘The Legendary Estates of Beverly Hills’ by Jeff Hyland. Under Bell's tenure, the 6-acre property absorbed the estate of late actor Gregory Peck, and also housed a circa 1911 cabin on the lower parcel.

1028 Ridgedale Drive holds the Highest Sale in Beverly Hills this year. The stunning 1930-built traditional-style manse boasts a grand columned facade and has been home to many well-known industry scions and entertainment elite. Fenton represented the seller, billionaire James Packer, the former chair of Crown Resorts, in the $69,950,000 closing, rounding out his recent trifecta of top sales.

The Second Highest Sale in Beverly Hills was transacted by Linda May. 942 S Alpine was listed at $62,000,000 and represents the more contemporary of the four largest sales. Designed by the late Howard Backen, the warm Napa style residence was part of his vernacular farmhouse aesthetic. Known for his refined materials and elegant details, Backen helped shape Northern California’s finest wineries and truly embodied the environment in his works. 942 S Alpine featured his signature large doors, vast ceiling heights, and raw wood finishes. The heritage landscapes were created by Mark Rios with interiors by Tommy Clements, making this fine residence a Beverly Hills design beacon.

These banner numbers were part of a stellar two months of sales by agents at Carolwood, making April and May the two most successful months in terms of volume since Carolwood’s inception.
